Greetings from snow covered Monmouth.

Another year has passed and another year older. I am now 90 would you believe but fortunately don't seem to have any major problems, other than being seriously under golfed, due to the awful Welsh weather. Caroline and I are soldiering on, happy and content with life, concentrating on giving Jemima the maximum support with her growing up and her education. Caroline is comfortable with her new hip and has also recovered from a Rotor Cuff operation.

Jemima, now 18 years old, is thriving and sits her A Level exams next year. Those Erinvalers who were at her Christening in April 2000 will remember that she was very vocal throughout the service, She is still vocal, but this time its due to her studies to become an opera singer. She has a beautiful soprano voice and has been offered places next year at three Conservatoires (London, Manchester and Cardiff) and now has to make up her mind on which to accept. In July we have to vacate our present house in Monmouth and will decide where to go next after Jemima has chosen her Conservatoire.

I often access the EGGS web site to see who is winning the competitions. It's now ten years since we left Erinvale and there are lots of names that mean nothing to me, so I am delighted when one appears that I recognise !! Please give my best wishes, with fond memories to Charles, James, Roy, Martin, Bert, Gordon and others that might remember me.

I hope that you and Marion are keeping well and that Marion has now fully recovered from her knee operations. I would love to have an update on the latest EGGS news when you have time.

Weather was a cool day overcast but on the whole a good day for golf.
The competition was Bingo-Bango-Bongo ( a fun game of strategic golf) I think all enjoyed it and we had much feedback about the reason for the strategic way some did and some did not play the game.

The EGG's Summer Dinner was held on 20th February 2019

About forty EGG's and their partners attended. After having drinks in the upstairs (Playas) bar, we sat down to a well presented and tasty meal.
We were entertained by Jon-Paul on the piano and Heather. Quiet mood music during the meal, followed by dance music that suited most peoples' taste and age. The dance floor was well used.
A great event!!
